The leftmost peak is Mt. Savoia. The row of peaks further to the right are called "The Seven Sisters" by climbers. Note how the continuous ice cliff at the water's edge makes landing almost impossible.
The Southern part of the Lemaire Channel narrows to 1 mile wide between the mainland and Booth Island, seen above Ann's head. This is called "Kodak Gap" by the cruise ship folks. This was one of the most spectacular days of paddling we've ever had.
This video shows how we paddled through brash ice to get through Kodak Gap. After reaching the south end of the Lemaire Channel, we turned right and went around the south side of Booth Island to find a camp site.
